We are pleased to announce the 2012 Ji-Eun Lee Music Academy Summer Camps! This year we are offering three summer camps, each with is own creative opportunities! Each session of the camps will feature different musical pieces, so feel free to enroll in multiple of them! These week long programs are available for half day or full day programs. The half day camps are available at different times, depending on the ages, and the full day camps will run from 9am to 3:30pm. Below is a detailed description of each camp, and the brochure has been attached for your convenience. We are looking forward to spending our summer with you and your family!

Camp: Music! Fun!

Cost: $100 1/2 day; $200 full day

Date: June 4 - June 8

Date: June 25 - June 29

Date: July 16 - July 20

Ages: 6 to 8; 8 to 10 (we will divide campers into smaller groups based on age)

Requirements: None (all materials provided)

Description (6 - 8): This is fun, general music class will introduce the young musicians to piano, violin, drums, guitar, voice, and various wind instruments. It will include an instrument 'petting zoo' for a hands on experience. A typical camp will include basic music instruction, learning notes, music terms (music theory), sing alongs, crafts, educational videos on our 15 foot movie screen, and other fun activities.

Description (8 - 10): Similar to the younger age, but it will go at a faster pace introducing more music terms, temp marks, dynamics, more musical instruments...and even learn how to play some of them! A typical camp will include flash cards, rhythm exercises with 'click-sticks', Boomwhackers, and other fun music toys, two-part sing alongs (harmonies), and more!

Camp: Theater

Cost: $100 1/2 day; $200 full day

Date: June 11 - June 15

Date: July 9 - July 13

Ages: 8 to 12 (campers will be separated by age for age-appropriate)

Requirements: None (all materials provided)

Description: This exciting week long course will immerse students in instruction of singing, acting, and dancing! Students will focus on character development, choreography, and singing in a high-energy atmosphere! Be ready to work hard, stretch those vocal chords and hamstring, and have a blast, just like the stars in NYC do! The class will end with a scene from Broadway, live on stage, featuring...YOU!

The morning sessions are for ages 8-11 and run from 9am to 12pm. The afternoon sessions are for ages 12-18 and run from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.

Camp: Rock Band Camp!

Cost: $100 1/2 day; $200 full day

Date: June 18 - June 22

Date: July 23 - July 27

Ages: 9 and older

Instruments: Voice, keyboard, guitar, drums...other!?

Want to be a rock star?! Intermediate to advanced musician will be assembled into bands and learn one to two songs (depending ability) through jam sessions and intense practice all week long. The week will end with a live concert on stage with lights, fog, and maybe a surprise or two! Less experience musicians will be broken into ensembles and will learn to play as a band in drum circles and creative arrangements.

The June 18-22 camp is a full day camp only.

July 23-27 camp, the morning session will be for ages 8-13 and will run from 9am to 12pm; the afternoon camp is for students with 2 years of experience on their primary instrument, ages 12 to 18, and will run from 12:30 to 3:30pm.
